The Warmfront Team recommended carbon reduction measures totalling the equivalent of 4,672,619 new trees planted
So far WarmFront has completed two thousand, two hundred and seventy installations across the full range of our homes. We have many different property types for example our shared ownership properties, retirement schemes and general needs homes.
This has meant that more of our customers have benefitted where we have been able to apply for the grant.
The scheme has allowed us to offer solutions to our customers to help make their homes more energy efficient. This should save them money, support them to live more independently and it also has a positive effect on the environment
Our relationship with Warmfront dates back to 2013 when they identified a number of our homes that would benefit from cavity wall insulation. They began to manage the scheme in full across the wider portfolio of our homes.
Between 2013 and 2017 WarmFront identified, surveyed and insulated two thousand, five hundred of our homes as part of the CERT and ECO schemes.
In 2018 as part of ECO 3 funding, WarmFront was able to identify more homes that would benefit from having cavity wall and loft insulations. Homes that were not eligible under the previous schemes.
We’ve maintained a strong relationship and when the eligibility and criteria changed again, it allowed three thousand more homes to be considered for the cavity insulation - works that we’re now undertaking.
We’ve now received over five million pounds worth of funding, meaning this has been completely free of charge to us and all of our customers who live in the five thousand homes that have or will soon benefit from these schemes.
Our data to December 2020 shows that the WarmFront scheme has been a huge success! So far, we’ve received a total investment of four point zero five million pounds.
The scheme has supported an increase in the energy rating of our homes by an average of 8 points. Many of the homes that have benefited from this have improved from an E to a D rated property since the work has been completed.
We’re confident that we can further improve these ratings and make an even bigger difference to our customers by taking part in future initiatives.
The WarmFront team has taken on all of the project management responsibilities, supported by one of our part time Technical Contract Delivery Surveyors.
The initiative has been fully funded and we’ve not had to pay for anything. The Warmfront Team have taken responsibility for obtaining all grants on our behalf.
This means that we’ve been able to keep our focus on delivering vital day to day services to all of our customers.
We would definitely recommend the WarmFront team to others. They are leaders in the field when it comes to obtaining funding.
They manage the entire process from funding and surveying right through to insulation and completing the paperwork.
We will continue to work in partnership with them to improve the energy efficiency of many more of our homes.
